My name is Damien Kurek, and I am the Member of Parliament for Battle River-Crowfoot in East Central Alberta. I wanted to specifically share about another event happening in conjunction with the National Prayer Breakfast. I also have the great honour of working with M.P. Richard Brandon and am proud to be helping relaunch the Young Christian Leaders Summit, which will take place in conjunction with the National Prayer Breakfast May 28-30th in Ottawa.

The heart behind the Young Christian Leaders Summit is to gather tomorrow’s leaders from across the country to hear from political leaders, network with faith leaders from across Canada, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. In keeping with this year’s theme, A Firm Foundation, based on the scripture found in the book of Matthew, chapter 7 verses 24 to 26, the young leaders will be hearing from Members of Parliament, who are faced with the daily challenge of answering the question, “What is my true foundation?”

The summit will take place right on the Parliamentary Precinct in Downtown Ottawa and will include workshops and policy sessions by some of Canada’s political and faith leaders, as well as special sessions with the Prayer Breakfast speakers and Christian staff.

I am asking you today to consider forwarding this information to Youth Pastors/Pastors and young people to encourage their participation in this event. I am including a link to the National Prayer Breakfast site where you will find additional information on the Youth Leader’s Summit: https://www.ycls.ca/

Thank you for your time and I hope to see you at the National Prayer Breakfast!

In His Service,
Damien C. Kurek
