Cross-Cultural Classics: A Relaxed Performance
Have you ever wondered why, no matter where you go in the world, the music is so distinct to each culture? Why isn't it all just the same?
The answer lies in the deeply personal nature of music itself. Just as we express our joys and sorrows uniquely, music becomes a reflection of our individual and collective experiences.
Across the globe, cultures have crafted their own musical styles, providing a means for communities to express themselves in harmony with their heritage and beliefs.
From the lively folk tunes of Romania to the soulful melodies of India, each composition reflects the richness of traditions, stories, and emotions unique to its cultural origins.
As we gather together, let us celebrate the universal language of music, as we are taken on this unique musical voyage!
This concert is a Relaxed Performance
A relaxed performance creates a concert environment where the musical experience is comfortable for all who attend. It is designed especially for people with autism, learning disabilities, or sensory communication disorders. These types of concerts ensure accessibility to the musical arts for everyone.
What to expect:
- You are free to express yourself however you may (clapping, dancing, singing, etc.)
- Lights will be dimmed, and doors will be open to leave and enter at any point
- There will be a break-out room nearby if you feel overwhelmed by the concert
- There will be a resource table with fidget toys (sponsored by Mastermind Toys) and noise-canceling headphones to borrow (it is recommended that you bring your own headphones as supplies are limited)
Reserve your spot now! One week before the concert, you will receive our free venue guide and fact sheet via email which will include all pertinent details about the event!

Kids 1st Day, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London, is a celebration of all the wonderful opportunities available to London families. It also showcases the committed people, businesses and organizations that make this city great.
Kids 1st Day started after a report was released that focused on London’s problems facing children and families including poverty. The idea was to highlight the many wonderful organizations and unique attractions in London that can help children thrive.

Investing in Children takes the lead in arranging a day where more than 50 businesses and organizations across the city offer free or low-cost activities to children and families. The day is always chosen to
be held on an elementary school PA Day shared by the London boards.
This event reminds the community of what a great place London is for families and gives children the opportunity to try new things and visit new places!
Thank you to our sponsor, the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London for making this wonderful event possible!
“I have four kids. It is really expensive to take them to different places. This is a great way we can go to new places and try new things!” - Parent
“Kids 1st Day was a great way to introduce families to our new facility. We planned on maybe 30 kids showing up. We had more than 300!” - Partner
